Simply Recruitment are working with a well established civil engineering contractor that has secured a strong pipeline of highways work across the Liverpool City Region. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £40k to £4m, working closely with local authorities and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality highways schemes.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they're delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Projects include:
- Traffic signal installations and upgrades
- Ducting and utility infrastructure works
- Carriageway resurfacing
- Footpath and pavement reinstatements
- General highways and public realm improvements
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Maintaining programme, quality and commercial performance
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and project stakeholders
- Producing site documentation, RAMS, permits and progress reports
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Site Manager within highways or civil engineering
- Experience delivering local authority highways projects
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
- NRSWA Supervisor and Temporary Traffic Management experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
