We are looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne. Salary is c£38-40,000 per annum plus 25 days' notice plus bank holidays, company pension, healthcare etc.
Duties for Machine Shop Supervisor:
- Proven supervisory experience is required, specifically within a manufacturing setting.
- Preferably a time-served sheet metal worker or fabricator.
- Experience in interpreting and understanding technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
- Solid understanding of key processes, including material cutting (CNC routing or punching), heat treatment, forming techniques (manual forming, rubber press, press brake), and a range of inspection methods.
- Core competencies include MRP systems, problem-solving, sound decision-making, waste reduction, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, a proactive and energetic approach, along with strong communication and team management abilities.
