Location: Civic Centre, Wolverhampton
Pay: £29.00 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary 3 months

City of Wolverhampton Council is looking for an experienced Assessment & Recovery Officer to join its Revenues & Benefits team.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your knowledge and experience within a professional local authority environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for a range of assessment, customer service and debt recovery duties, including:
- Assessing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support entitlement.
- Administering Council Tax and Business Rates accounts.
- Managing and recovering outstanding Council debts.
- Negotiating appropriate and sustainable repayment arrangements.
