We are currently recruiting for three permanent Traffic Controller positions across the following shift patterns:

Early Shift

£28,500 per annum

Late Shift

£28,500 per annum

Night Shift

  • 18:00 - 06:00, Monday to Thursday -
  • £33,000 per annum

About the Role

We are recruiting Traffic Controllers to support a major automotive logistics operation based in Hams Hall.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team ahead of a new contract launching on

1st August 2026 .

This role combines transport operations, customer service and administration.

You'll coordinate transport movements, support drivers and customers, and help ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently.

While there may be quieter periods, particularly on the night shift, you'll need to be ready to react quickly when issues arise.

Keeping deliveries moving is critical, making this a fast-paced role where organisation, communication and decision-making are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of transport operations.
  • Support drivers and manage daily transport activities.
  • Liaise with customers, providing updates and resolving issues.
  • Monitor vehicle movements using Webfleet.
  • Arrange agency drivers when required.
  • Ensure vehicles and trailers are scheduled for servicing and maintenance.
  • Record and action vehicle defects and damage.
  • Support transport compliance and carry out vehicle gatehouse checks.
  • Complete transport administration, invoicing and reporting accurately.
  • Monitor customer and departmental KPIs.
  • Manage third-party transport providers.
  • Oversee fuel card and Ad Blue usage.
  • Provide holiday and operational cover where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and company projects.
  • Provide occasional weekend cover when required.

About You

  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics or traffic office environment.
  • Confident communicating with drivers, customers and colleagues.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Good IT skills with experience using transport systems.
  • A proactive, reliable and flexible approach.
