1. We're Hiring: Estimator

   Location: Romford, London
   Salary: £45,000-£65,000 + Pension
   Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours per week)

   About the Role

   We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual to play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, securing new projects and contributing to the continued success of our business.

   Experience in flat roofing estimation would be advantageous, but previous estimating experience is essential.

   Key Responsibilities

   • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders and quotations.
   • Review architectural drawings, technical specifications and site surveys.
   • Calculate material, labour, plant, equipment and access costs.
   • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-effective solutions.
   • Liaise with clients, main contractors and internal contracts teams.
   • Ensure tenders are submitted on time and achieve agreed profit margins.
   • Support the successful handover of projects to the Contracts team.

   About You

   • Previous estimating experience is essential.
   • Flat roofing estimating experience is desirable.
   • Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
   • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
   • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
   • NVQ Level 3 in Contracting Operations/Estimating is desirable. Candidates who do not hold this qualification must be willing to work towards it in line with industry standards.
