The Role
As Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for
- Leading and supervising a busy manufacturing department on a permanent early shift.
- Managing the day-to‑day performance of production teams to achieve output targets.
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring all components are manufactured to specification.
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the department.
- Supporting, motivating and developing team members through coaching and training.
- Liaising with Production Planning, Maintenance and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and operational performance.
- Ensuring company procedures and manufacturing standards are consistently maintained.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
- IOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing production teams and departmental performance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- A proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach.
