The Role

As Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for

  • Leading and supervising a busy manufacturing department on a permanent early shift.
  • Managing the day-to‑day performance of production teams to achieve output targets.
  • Monitoring product quality and ensuring all components are manufactured to specification.
  • Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the department.
  • Supporting, motivating and developing team members through coaching and training.
  • Liaising with Production Planning, Maintenance and other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and operational performance.
  • Ensuring company procedures and manufacturing standards are consistently maintained.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
  • IOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience managing production teams and departmental performance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach.
