Rotating early shifts:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our established maintenance team within a busy heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a stable and successful business where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and plant equipment.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy industrial machinery.
- Install, maintain and modify electrical systems in accordance with current regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and performance.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment efficiency.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Support apprentice training and development where required.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Time-served apprentice or recognised Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within heavy engineering, manufacturing or an industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience maintaining industrial plant and production machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices.
Desirable
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- PLC fault-finding experience.
- Knowledge of CMMS or preventative maintenance systems.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
