An established and growing logistics business based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join its operations team. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who can work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain excellent service levels across daily transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating UK transport operations
  • Managing driver routes, schedules, and vehicle utilisation
  • Monitoring deliveries and resolving operational issues proactively
  • Communicating with drivers, customers, and warehouse teams
  • Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
  • Supporting same-day, groupage, and time-critical deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate operational records and transport documentation
  • Assisting with weekend operational cover on a rota basis

Requirements

  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
