Business Development Manager - Construction
Location: National - Specialist Business Divisions
Head Office: Halesowen
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension
Interviews and training will take place at the Halesowen Head Office. The successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout the UK.
Jobsworth Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing construction business, working nationally across its specialist divisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional with a proven track record in business development, offering genuine career progression and excellent earning potential.
The Role
Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, you will develop new business opportunities, secure projects and achieve sales and margin targets across the UK.
You will build strong client relationships, identify new opportunities and work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a national business plan to achieve sales and margin targets.
- Manage existing clients and secure new business.
- Promote the company's products and services.
- Deliver sales and technical CPD presentations.
- Carry out site surveys and provide technical advice.
- Prepare project proposals and specifications.
- Work with Branch Managers, senior management and suppliers to maximise opportunities.
- Manage quotations, specifications and project communication.
- Liaise with Contract Managers throughout project delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitors and industry intelligence.
- Maintain excellent customer service and commercial standards.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Business Development Manager experience essential.
- Construction sales experience essential.
- Construction/building industry experience highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, organisation and time management.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to win new business.
- IT literate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willing to travel nationally.
