The Role
We are looking for a confident, proactive and customer-focused
Internal Account Handler to join our team in Ashton and manage a portfolio of new and existing customers, working Monday to Friday 8.30 - 16.30, with an early finish on a Friday.
You will be the main day-to-day point of contact, building strong relationships, ensuring excellent customer service and working closely with our BDMs and internal teams to deliver on customer expectations.
You’ll also play an important role in growing existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling and identifying new opportunities .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple customer accounts and build strong, lasting relationships.
- Handle orders, delivery dates, changes and customer queries.
- Resolve customer issues by coordinating with Transport, Production and other internal departments.
- Liaise with Transport regarding deliveries and Production regarding updates and actions.
- Understand customer requirements, buying criteria and business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Work alongside BDMs to develop existing accounts and maximise customer satisfaction.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
About You

- Around
3 years' Account Handling or Customer Account Management experience .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidence in negotiation and customer-facing situations.
- A proactive, commercially focused approach.
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy and literacy.
- A positive, energetic approach and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
