About the Role
As a teacher, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, pastoral staff, and Teaching Assistants to deliver a holistic and nurturing educational experience. The school follows a mainstream curriculum, meaning a teacher from a mainstream background can make a smooth and rewarding transition into this setting. Your role will include:
- Delivering engaging lessons within your subject specialism or across the primary curriculum, adapted to meet individual needs
- Supporting pupils to access learning through differentiated, mainstream curriculum pathways
- Building consistent, trusting relationships that promote emotional safety and regulation
- Applying therapeutic approaches such as restorative practice and trauma-informed care
- Supporting small group and 1:1 interventions for both academic and emotional development
- Helping pupils develop coping strategies, resilience, and positive behaviours for learning
- Managing and de-escalating behaviours through calm, reflective, and supportive responses
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Teacher who:
- Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience as a Primary Teacher or within a subject specialism (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Art, etc.)
- Understands or is willing to learn about a therapy-led approach to education
- Can confidently adapt a mainstream curriculum to meet diverse needs
- Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils who may have experienced adversity
- Remains calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations
- Is committed to ongoing learning and reflective practice
