Simply Education is proud to be working with a small, nurturing independent provision in the Barnsley area, dedicated to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis (2 days per week). This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently working on supply or looking for a better work-life balance without compromising on impact.

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Functional Skills to GCSE level)
  • Work 16 hours per week (2 days) in a supportive, close-knit setting
  • Plan and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Use a spiral curriculum approach, revisiting and building on key concepts to deepen understanding
  • A teacher with a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an SEN, SEMH, or similar setting
  • QTS or QTLS (essential)
  • A resilient, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching and learning
