Simply Education is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Science Technician to join our successful Science Department in a school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of exciting and engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3–5. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science and a keen eye for detail to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical support across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Prepare and set up practical experiments and demonstrations
  • Maintain and manage laboratory equipment, stock, and resources
  • Ensure health and safety standards are always upheld
  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe practical lessons

Requirements

  • Has previous experience working in a school science lab or a similar environment
  • Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
  • Has a good understanding of health and safety in a laboratory setting
  • Is confident working independently and as part of a team

All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. Any interviews we hold will be conducted over a Teams call.
