About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join our friendly and supportive team in Northampton. This is a full-time, all year round position, working 40 hours across 4 days per week.
As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and development in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a room, ensuring a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
- Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS
- Support children's learning development and well-being
- Supervise and support other staff within the room
- Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain accurate records
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent qualification)
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
