Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Northampton to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive HLTA to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. The role will involve working closely with teachers, leading interventions, and occasionally covering classes, helping to ensure all pupils make strong progress.
The Role:
- Full-time HLTA position
- Delivering lessons and covering classes in the absence of the teacher
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Leading targeted interventions to raise attainment
- Assisting with planning, assessment, and classroom delivery
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement across the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within a primary or secondary school setting
- Confident leading a classroom and supporting learning independently
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Passionate about supporting pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs
