Headteacher – SEN School in Barnsley Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive, based on experience (£45,000 – £75,000 per annum) Summer term or September 2025 About This SEN School At this SEN School they believe that learning should be fun, inclusive, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. As Headteacher, you will provide strategic leadership and vision to ensure the continued success of the school. You will be responsible for setting high standards in teaching, learning, and pupil achievement while ensuring the school remains a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for all. Lead the school with a clear vision, setting ambitious goals and fostering a culture of excellence. Develop and implement policies that support the school’s mission and objectives. Provide strong leadership to the senior leadership team and wider school community. Ensure high standards in curriculum delivery, teaching, and learning outcomes. Oversee pupil progress and attainment, ensuring each student reaches their full potential. Take responsibility for safeguarding and ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines. Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, ensuring the school meets independent school standards. Manage staff development programs, fostering a culture of continuous professional growth. Oversee school resources, ensuring efficient and effective use of funding. Lead on the formulation and review of the School Development Plan. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a passion for SEND education and a commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for students. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
