About The Schools
This SEN School is an Independent Specialist School catering to students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our students often have EHCPs and may have diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD. We also work with students referred from the Local Authority Inclusion Service who have been, or are at risk of being, permanently excluded from mainstream settings. Both schools share a vision of delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum in a supportive environment, enabling every student to reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities as Executive Headteacher
- Provide strategic leadership, formulating and implementing the schools’ aims, objectives, and policies.
- Lead by example, promoting clear values and a moral purpose focused on providing exceptional education for all pupils.
- Drive a culture of success, working closely with the Education Director to ensure outstanding outcomes for students.
- Manage senior leadership teams, providing direction, support, and development for leaders at both schools.
- Oversee curriculum standards and pupil progress, ensuring high expectations and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Lead safeguarding practices, adhering to Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections, ensuring compliance with independent school standards.
- Review and improve school systems, ensuring statutory requirements are consistently met and exceeded.
- Develop and oversee staff training and development, fostering a culture of professional growth.
- Formulate and review School Development Plans, driving continuous school improvement.
