The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

  • Provide support to students with dressing and personal care.

  • Assist in planning and delivering inclusive teaching sessions under the guidance of experienced educational colleagues.

  • Maintain accurate records and support the development and monitoring of person-centred plans and education, health, and care plans.

  • Support students in developing key skills and achieving their educational goals.

  • A good level of general education, including literacy and numeracy to Level 2.

  • Positive attitude towards working with people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

  • Understanding the importance of person-centred planning.

  • Ability to summarise and record information clearly.

  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 teaching support qualification.

Desirable Criteria:

  • QCF Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 3.

  • British Sign Language Level 1 or above.

  • Health and Social Care Diploma.

  • I.T. qualification to Level 2.

  • Recent experience of working with people with sensory/dual sensory impairment/complex needs.

  • Understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.

  • Experience of supporting assessment of learners with SEND.

  • Experience of outcome-based service delivery and maintaining required records.

  • Experience of mentoring learners and supporting people with challenging behaviour.

  • Experience of handling money and providing personal care.

  • Experience of using person-centred planning tools.
