How to prepare for a job interview at Simply Education

Know Your Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of the curriculum and the specific subjects you'll be covering. Schools want to see that you can step in and manage a classroom effectively, so being familiar with lesson plans and teaching strategies will give you an edge.

Show Your Flexibility

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll need to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs. Be prepared to discuss examples of how you've successfully managed unexpected situations or changes in your previous roles.

Engage with the Interviewers

Don’t just answer questions; engage with your interviewers. Ask them about their school culture and how they support their Cover Supervisors. This shows you're genuinely interested and helps you gauge if the school is the right fit for you.

Prepare for Scenario Questions

Expect to face scenario-based questions during your interview. Think about how you would handle various classroom situations, such as managing disruptive behaviour or supporting students with different learning needs. Practising these responses can help you feel more confident.
