Simply Education are working closely with our client to appoint a permanent experienced School Business Manager for a brand new school opening up in April 2026. The new school will be nurturing, inclusive and ambitious for children aged 5-19 with ASD, SEMH needs. The school has a capacity of 96 students, and the vision is to create a safe, enriching and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.
About the role:
You will play a part as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team - you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and development of the school's support services. This includes Finance, HR, Administration, Facilities, ICT, Health & Safety, Housekeeping and Catering. You'll ensure these functions run smoothly and efficiently, creating an environment that supports learning and well-being for every student. In addition, you will manage budgets and resources with autonomy and accountability, lead and inspire teams to deliver outstanding standards.
About you:
- An outstanding understanding of regulations and standards for education and care, safeguarding and health & safety legislation.
- Knowledge of financial systems, budget preparation and performance monitoring which includes EBITDA.
- Understanding/familiar with inspection frameworks, funding structures and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience leading multiple teams across several functions and managing budgets effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously and an all-round confident decision maker.
- Management OR Professional Qualification (DESIRABLE).
