About the Role
Simply Education is recruiting two Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in the Grantham area from September 2026. These are full-time, long-term positions for the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive school community. This is primarily a general classroom support role, with very little 1:1 support required. Working alongside the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' learning and development, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential with relevant classroom experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality classroom support across lessons
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence and independence
- Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure pupils achieve their full potential
