The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND and those referred to PRU.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviours, ensuring a safe and structured setting.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a committed and empathetic individual who:
- Has experience working with children with SEND and/or within a PRU setting.
- Is patient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships with students.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of behaviour management strategies.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience desirable but not essential.
