Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools – Longton, Stoke-on-Trent

£95‑115 per day (DOE)

Simply Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors across our partner secondary schools in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. We'll match you to the right school based on how you work, not just what's available.

What’s on offer:

  • £95‑115 per day, PAYE available
  • Flexible working, full‑time, part‑time or ad‑hoc days to suit you
  • Immediate starts available, September roles also being planned now
  • Daily supply, short‑term and long‑term placements
  • Temp‑to‑perm routes available for strong performers
  • FREE CPD, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding and Cover Supervisor training
  • Direct support from Josh, Branch Manager, one point of contact throughout

What the role involves:

  • Delivering pre‑prepared lessons to secondary classes in the teacher's absence
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining routines
  • Keeping pupils on task across KS3‑KS4 year groups and a range of subjects
  • Settling groups quickly and managing transitions effectively
  • Providing brief feedback to staff after each session
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What we need from you:

  • Experience working with young people, schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar
  • Confidence managing a classroom and handling low‑level disruption
  • Flexible, reliable and resilient
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A degree or previous school experience is useful but not essential
