Early Years Practitioner - Primary School 📍 Southminster, Essex ⏰ Mornings Only | Monday-Friday 🏫 Primary School - £14 per hour Simply Education is working with one of our welcoming partner primary schools in Southminster to recruit an experienced Early Years Practitioner for a mornings-only position. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous EYFS experience who is passionate about supporting young children during the early stages of their education and training. The Role As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work alongside the class teacher and wider EYFS team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment. Your duties will include: Supporting children through play-based and structured learning activities. Helping with phonics, early literacy and early numeracy. Setting up engaging activities and learning resources. Supporting children's communication and language development. Encouraging positive social interaction and independence. Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required. Observing children and contributing towards assessments of their development. Supporting children with additional needs where appropriate. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional development. Assisting with personal care where required. Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating EYFS environment. Working closely with teachers and other support staff. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with previous Early Years experience and a good understanding of the EYFS framework. A relevant childcare or education and training qualification would be highly desirable. You should be caring, enthusiastic and confident building positive relationships with young children.
