Simply Education are looking for a Permanent Science teacher with a background in SEN & SEMH. The school is a small registered, independent educational provision in the Somerset area - dedicated for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the role:

  • Teach all 3 science subjects to pupils (Functional skills to GCSE level) 40hrs a week
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Experience teaching through a spiral programme, revisiting concepts and topic areas, each time extending knowledge, deepening understanding and developing skills
  • Work alongside relevant internal and external professionals such as psychologists and therapists

Requirements:

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement
