Exciting opportunity for performing arts graduates to work in Special Educational Needs Schools. Here at Simply Education, we are seeking candidates with a background in Performing Arts to work as a Teaching Assistant in SEN Schools. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for individuals with dance and drama.

In this role, you will provide nurture and support to children within an SEN setting. You will be supporting children with various needs including anxiety, complex learning needs, ADHD, autism and physical disabilities with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) in place.

This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in Performing Arts that aspire to roles such as a Teacher, Child Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, or Educational Psychologist.

Key Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in a Performing Arts related subject or have relevant experience in a Performing Arts role.
  • Possess an understanding of SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Available to work Monday to Friday during term-time, with typical hours between 8:20 am to 3:45 pm.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children.
