Position: Pastoral Care Support Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP start About Us: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team in a Pastoral Care role. The successful candidate will play an integral part in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic well-being, ensuring they thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Provide emotional and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges Act as a point of contact for students who need advice, guidance, or assistance Work closely with teachers, school leadership, and parents to monitor and support student welfare Help develop and implement well-being initiatives and programs for students Support students with transition phases, such as moving between key stages or adjusting to school life Assist in managing student behavior and resolving conflicts in a positive and supportive way Maintain confidential records of student well-being and progress Promote a positive school culture and contribute to creating a safe, supportive learning environment Provide support for students with additional needs, including special educational needs or mental health challenges Organize and lead pastoral activities and events to foster a sense of communityKey Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience working in a pastoral care, counseling, or student welfare role is highly desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff alike Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to supporting students Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the school environment Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies A calm and patient demeanor, especially in challenging situations Relevant qualifications in education, counseling, or child development (or willingness to pursue further training) A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
