A specialist SEN school in Burnley is looking for a Behaviour Mentor / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs. This isn't just a classroom support role; it's about building trust, creating consistency and helping young people feel safe enough to learn.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Working as a Behaviour Mentor, SEN Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant
- Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage challenging behaviour
- Encouraging engagement, independence and positive routines
- Building strong relationships with pupils who need consistency and encouragement
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
- Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
What the School Is Looking For
- Experience supporting children or adults with behavioural or additional needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Someone who can use their initiative and adapt to different situations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker is desirable
