School Cook Required - Immediate Opportunity
Simply Education is currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic School Cook to work within a school kitchen in Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cook, Chef, School Cook or Catering professional looking for regular weekday work in an education setting. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Working Hours
- Monday: 7:30am - 2:30pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 2:30pm
The Role
As a School Cook, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for pupils and staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals
- Supporting the smooth running of the school kitchen
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a Cook, Chef or School Cook and be confident working in a busy kitchen environment.
You should be:
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Passionate about preparing good-quality food
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Experienced in school, education, care, hospitality or similar catering settings
Previous school catering experience is desirable but not essential if you have relevant cooking or catering experience.
