Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a fixed-term position with the potential to be extended. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential and staff are valued for the difference they make every day.
The Role:
- Full-time, fixed-term position (32.5 hours per week, term time)
- Supporting pupils with SEND within the classroom and in small group interventions
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored support
- Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary setting
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about helping every child succeed
