We are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school near Market Harborough that is looking to appoint caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech & Language needs and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists, you'll provide tailored support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and personally.
Your responsibilities will include
Providing one-to-one and small group support.
Assisting pupils during classroom lessons and practical activities.
Supporting communication, emotional regulation and independence.
Encouraging positive behaviour using school behaviour strategies.
Helping pupils develop confidence, social skills and life skills.
Working closely with teachers, therapists and parents where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have
Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar).
A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
A willingness to undertake further SEND training.
