Simply Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within welcoming and supportive primary schools across Maidstone and the surrounding areas. We have a range of opportunities available including day-to-day supply, long-term positions and permanent roles.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children in the classroom and helping pupils reach their full potential, particularly those who may need additional support with learning, behaviour or confidence.
The role:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
- Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Support children with additional needs where required
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with children within a school or similar setting
- Patient, adaptable and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- SEN experience is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Completion of safeguarding and vetting checks
