A Primary School in Boston are looking to recruit a Y2 Teacher to start in September. This post will last for at least 2 full terms taking us midway through 2025.

As the Y2 teacher you will be required to take on the full responsibilities of the class teacher and therefore you will be required to plan engaging sessions that are well differentiated for and accessible for all learners. Full marking will also be required as well as being in attendance for all staff meets and training days.

The Y2 Teacher will need to have a sound understanding of the KS1 curriculum and be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to develop the understanding of their learners over the academic year whilst building up effective relationships with learners and the parents.

The position of the Year 2 Teacher would be suitable for experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking for their teaching role. Interviews are likely to take place week commencing the 3rd June and therefore we would encourage any teachers who are interested in the post to apply by the 24th May.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Proven experience teaching KS2 or similar year groups
  • Excellent classroom management abilities
