About the Role:

In this unique role, you will be teaching Geography to students who require additional support due to SEMH needs. This position requires a strong individual capable of handling challenging behaviours with patience and expertise, ensuring every child can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Geography lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
  • Utilise strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or SEMH.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • A compassionate and resilient attitude, with a genuine commitment to improving the educational experience of students with SEMH.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
