Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools - Longton, Stoke-on-Trent

£95-£115 per day (DOE) | No Planning | No Marking | Immediate Start Available

Simply Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors across our partner secondary schools in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. We'll match you to the right school based on how you work, not just what's available.

The role involves:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to secondary classes in the teacher's absence
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining routines
  • Keeping pupils on task across KS3-KS4 year groups and a range of subjects
  • Settling groups quickly and managing transitions effectively
  • Providing brief feedback to staff after each session
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What we need from you:

  • Experience working with young people, schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar
  • Confidence managing a classroom and handling low-level disruption
  • Flexible, reliable and resilient
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A degree or previous school experience is useful but not essential
