The role involves:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons to secondary classes in the teacher's absence
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining routines
- Keeping pupils on task across KS3-KS4 year groups and a range of subjects
- Settling groups quickly and managing transitions effectively
- Providing brief feedback to staff after each session
- Following safeguarding procedures at all times
What we need from you:
- Experience working with young people, schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar
- Confidence managing a classroom and handling low-level disruption
- Flexible, reliable and resilient
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A degree or previous school experience is useful but not essential
