Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Simply Education is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in primary and/or secondary schools in Wisbech. This role is ideal for a qualified HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their education career.
The Role
- Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of teaching staff
- Provide cover for classes during short-term teacher absences where required
- Support the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons
- Assist in raising pupil attainment and engagement
- Support pupils with additional learning needs
- Contribute to the school\βs wider pastoral and academic aims
Qualifications & Experience Required
- HLTA status or a Level 4 qualification (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a school setting
- Experience supporting learning across the curriculum
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
