Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
- HLTA qualification (essential)
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Experience working in SEN school settings or with children with additional needs
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Patience, resilience, and a flexible approach to learning and behaviour support
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering planned lessons and activities under the guidance of the teaching team
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with varying SEN needs
- Assisting in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
- Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
