Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Simply Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Canterbury seeking a dedicated teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
The successful candidate will primarily teach Religious Studies and History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of delivering some additional Humanities or general subjects depending on the school's timetable. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department where you'll inspire students to develop critical thinking, explore different cultures and beliefs, and deepen their understanding of historical events that have shaped the modern world.
The Role:
- Full-time Humanities Teacher
- Predominantly Religious Studies and History
- Some additional subject teaching may be required
- Teaching KS3 and KS4
- September start
- Planning, preparation and marking expected
- Supportive leadership team and collaborative Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Religious Studies and/or History in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The flexibility to teach across the wider curriculum where required
- A passion for engaging students and raising attainment
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
