Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Simply Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Canterbury seeking a dedicated teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

The successful candidate will primarily teach Religious Studies and History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of delivering some additional Humanities or general subjects depending on the school's timetable. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department where you'll inspire students to develop critical thinking, explore different cultures and beliefs, and deepen their understanding of historical events that have shaped the modern world.

The Role:

  • Full-time Humanities Teacher
  • Predominantly Religious Studies and History
  • Some additional subject teaching may be required
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4
  • September start
  • Planning, preparation and marking expected
  • Supportive leadership team and collaborative Humanities department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies and/or History in UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The flexibility to teach across the wider curriculum where required
  • A passion for engaging students and raising attainment
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
