Head of Behaviour / Pastoral Lead – SEND / SEMH Provision

Location: Old Trafford, Manchester
Salary: 35,000 – 45,000 FTE
Contract: Permanent / Long-term

Simply Education is supporting a specialist SEND/SEMH provision in Old Trafford, Manchester to recruit a dedicated and experienced Head of Behaviour / Pastoral Lead. This is a pivotal role for someone committed to improving outcomes for children requiring additional support, leading on behaviour, pastoral care, and whole‑school wellbeing.

The role:

• Lead and manage behaviour and pastoral strategies across the provision.
• Support staff with behaviour management, interventions, and safeguarding.
• Develop individualised support plans for pupils with complex needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of pastoral and behaviour initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support and positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a pastoral or behaviour leadership role, ideally within SEND/SEMH settings.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies, safeguarding, and inclusion.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• A flexible, empathetic, and solution‑focused approach to supporting children and staff.
