We are supporting a dynamic and supportive SEN school providing alternative provision for students who thrive in a more tailored learning environment. Their mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a full-time role with the role starting as soon as possible or at a given date depending on the right candidate. We are seeking a passionate and innovative Class Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference in students' lives and is eager to bring fresh ideas into the classroom and beyond. The successful candidate will support learners in achieving their ambitions while promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to secondary-aged students.
- Provide emotional support and guidance, promoting students' wellbeing and personal development.
- Employ creative teaching strategies to engage learners and foster a love of learning.
- Support the academic and social development of students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess, and enhance student learning.
- Maintain professional communication with staff, students, and parents.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions.

- Teaching Qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience working in a school environment, preferably secondary education.
- Understanding of alternative provision and SEN needs.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Desirable:
- Degree in a relevant teaching subject or equivalent for SEN.
- Specialist teaching qualification.
- Experience with creative and innovative teaching approaches.
- Proficiency in English, Maths, and Science (minimum grade 4/C or higher).
