Simply Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Stockport from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of literature, language, and learning in a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring progress and attainment for all ability levels.
- Promote a strong culture of literacy, critical thinking, and creative expression.
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school and national expectations.
- Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives and extracurricular enrichment activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Specialism in English Language and/or Literature, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
- Effective organisational and communication skills.
- Suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners.
