Are you an SEN Teacher looking for your next teaching role in Cambridgeshire? We're looking to speak with qualified teachers who have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs for opportunities across Cambridgeshire.
We work with specialist and mainstream education settings looking for teachers who can adapt learning, establish consistent routines and understand that progress looks different for every pupil. We're interested in experienced SEN Teachers as well as mainstream teachers with strong SEND experience who are considering moving into specialist education.
As an SEN Teacher, you may work with children and young people with autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs, SEMH, learning difficulties and other additional educational needs. Depending on the setting, responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering accessible lessons
- Adapting teaching to individual learning needs
- Creating a calm and structured classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN support staff
- Supporting individual education plans and targets
- Monitoring and celebrating individual pupil progress
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals
What are we looking for? Ideally, you'll:
- Hold QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND
- Be confident adapting lessons for different learning needs
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be patient, adaptable and consistent
Previous specialist school experience is beneficial but isn’t essential for every SEN Teacher position. Teachers with mainstream primary or secondary experience and a strong interest in SEND education are also encouraged to apply.
We recruit for teaching opportunities across Cambridge, Ely, St Neots and wider Cambridgeshire. Roles can include long-term SEN teaching, supply teaching and opportunities that may lead to permanent employment.
If you're an SEN Teacher looking for your next role, or a qualified teacher considering a move into SEN education, apply today. Jack will be in touch to discuss what you're looking for and suitable opportunities across Cambridgeshire.
