About the Role As a KS2 teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering consistently high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil is challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential. Your key duties and responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Teaching across the full KS2 curriculum, including English, mathematics, science and foundation subjects. Developing pupils' reading, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Creating a stimulating, inclusive and well-organised classroom environment. Establishing high expectations for learning, behaviour and achievement. Assessing and monitoring pupil progress using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies. Using assessment information and data to inform future planning and identify areas requiring additional support. Providing appropriate challenge, intervention and support to meet the needs of individual pupils. Preparing pupils effectively for statutory assessments where appropriate. Promoting independence, resilience, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning. Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining positive classroom routines. Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and carers. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and the wider school team. Communicating regularly with parents regarding pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing. Attending staff meetings, parents' evenings, training sessions and school events. Contributing to the wider life and development of the school. Maintaining accurate records relating to planning, assessment and pupil progress. Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. Promoting equality, inclusion and the wellbeing of every pupil. About You The successful candidate will be a passionate KS2 teacher who is committed to providing an excellent education for every child. You will ideally have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching within Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum. Excellent classroom management skills. High expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour. Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills. The ability to differentiate effectively and respond to a wide range of learning needs.
