We operate across various alternative provisions in Cheshire, ensuring that each student receives tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:- The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Implement bespoke curriculum plans tailored to each student's academic and pastoral requirements.
- Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a nurturing approach in all interactions with students.
- Differentiating strategies to accommodate the varied learning styles and abilities of students.
- Consistently apply behaviour management techniques outlined in the behaviour management policy.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable but full training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
