Simply Education is working in partnership with a local SEND provision that is dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We operate across various alternative provisions in Cheshire, ensuring that each student receives tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Implement bespoke curriculum plans tailored to each student's academic and pastoral requirements.
  • Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a nurturing approach in all interactions with students.
  • Differentiating strategies to accommodate the varied learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Consistently apply behaviour management techniques outlined in the behaviour management policy.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable but full training will be provided.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
