Simply Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Kent to recruit an exceptional Sociology Teacher for a full-time, temporary position starting in September 2026, initially until December 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Sociology specialist who is passionate about their subject and capable of delivering outstanding lessons across GCSE and A Level.
The successful candidate must have the subject knowledge and experience to teach high-achieving A Level students, including those aiming for the very top grades (A/A*).
The Role
Teach Sociology across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
Deliver engaging, challenging lessons that inspire academic excellence.
Prepare students for success in GCSE and A Level examinations.
Support students in achieving their full potential, including the highest attaining A Level learners.
Work collaboratively within a successful Humanities department.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Is a Sociology specialist with strong subject knowledge.
Has recent experience teaching Sociology at both GCSE and A Level.
Has a proven track record of securing excellent A Level outcomes, including A* grades.
Demonstrates high expectations, excellent classroom management and a passion for student achievement.
