We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist education setting in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with pupils to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and support strategies.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in an education, care or support setting.
  • Previous experience within an SEN school is preferred but not essential.
  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to provide suitable references covering recent employment.
