Simply Education is recruiting a confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Cambridge. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people who are seeking to gain or build on classroom experience within secondary education.
The Role
- Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and follow school instructions
- Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain on task and engaged in their learning
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
- Support the school's wider pastoral and academic objectives
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A minimum Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-Levels, BTEC, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent); a degree is desirable
- Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience preferred)
- Experience in a secondary school environment is highly desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage a classroom
- A flexible, professional, and proactive approach
