Buckinghamshire, HP12 Sam Wightman Permanent/Full Time £30, – £45,

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cover a range of art and design disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and design.

Student Development: Foster a supportive and challenging environment where students feel confident to express their creativity and develop their technical skills.

Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

Exhibitions and Projects: Organise student art exhibitions and participate in school-wide projects and events.

Professional Development: Stay current with contemporary art practices and pedagogical methods through continuous professional development.

Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the art department and contribute to cross-curricular projects.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, or a related field; teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent) is essential.

Experience: Previous experience teaching art and design at the secondary level is preferred.

Artistic Skills: Proficiency in a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Creativity: Ability to inspire and motivate students with engaging and innovative teaching methods.

Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Passion: A genuine passion for art and design and a commitment to fostering a creative learning environment.
