About the Role
Simply Education is recruiting caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils within primary schools in the Lincoln area. We have supply, part-time and long-term opportunities available from September 2026 across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Working on a 1:1 basis, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies, encourage independence and help create a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the individual needs of pupils
- Support pupils in accessing learning and participating in classroom activities
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where applicable
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
- Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare or support setting
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential with relevant classroom experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- willingness to complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks
