What Is the Opportunity?

As our new Staff Data Analyst, you will champion the strategic use of data across Simply Business, ensuring every insight we uncover is directly aligned with our business outcomes and expanding global operations. You will join an award‑winning international data team pioneering Big Data and analytics technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality analysis and recommendations to support Product Teams in achieving their core objectives.
  • Carry out in‑depth customer journey analysis and measure the impact of multi‑channel strategies.
  • Uncover hidden insights through ad‑hoc data exploration, visualization, and best‑in‑class self‑service tooling.
  • Partner with data engineers to evolve our data sets and pipelines, ensuring our tech stack remains cutting‑edge.
  • Promote the capabilities of the analysis team across the business to foster a data‑first mindset.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with managers to drive individual and team development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 6 years of experience as an Analyst or Data Scientist, backed by a STEM, Economics, or similar degree.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge with a passion for deep data exploration.
  • Proven aptitude for complex problem‑solving and conducting robust A/B tests.
  • Collaborative partner who excels at working across cross‑functional product and development teams to test hypotheses.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and ask tough questions.
  • Prior knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus, though not essential.
